Introductory Bow making $600 ( Coming in Spring )

Join me in shop for 3 days and learn the art of crafting a white wood self bow with simple hand tools. We will be using American White Oak boards for this purpose, a strong and durable wood perfect for beginners. The bow can be made to a variety of styles, draw length and draw weights to suit your individual preferences. You’ll leave with a custom made bow tailored to your preferences that you can use for hunting or target shooting alike.

We will be exclusively using hand tools for this task so be prepared to put in some elbow grease. You’ll be standing on a concrete floor for hours and doing lots of pushing and pulling with hand tools. Nothing worth doing is ever easy as the saying goes.

You have the option of staying over the 3 nights at a camping site or to travel home or to other accommodation each evening at the conclusion of the session if convenient. If you have time constraints and are only free for only two days during the weekend you are more than welcome to return the following weekend. I will assist you in the remaining tillering or sanding work to finish off your bow.
